The Very Good Water Company (“we,” “us”) operates this website to help people understand their local water quality and connect with local water-treatment companies. We are an authorized WaterTech dealer.

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

• Name (first and last)
• Email address
• Phone number
• ZIP code and/or city
• IP address and device/browser information
• Marketing attribution data, including UTM parameters and advertising click identifiers (for example, click IDs)
• Quiz and questionnaire answers
• Household profile details you provide (for example, number of people, bathrooms, water source, symptoms, and home details)
• A derived water score and related calculated values (for example, an internal “water score” or “fear_number” derived from your inputs and public water data)
• Consent records, including the consent text shown to you, the time, the IP address, and the page where you submitted

• To provide your Water Score, estimate, or report
• To connect you with local water-treatment installer partners and The WaterTech Company for a free in-home water test and any quote
• To respond to your requests and contact you by phone, text, or email
• To measure and improve our marketing and the site
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms

We share and may sell the personal information you submit through our lead forms (such as your name, contact details, ZIP, and the answers you provide) to:

• Local water-treatment installer partners in your area
• The WaterTech Company

Under some privacy laws, providing leads to these partners for their own marketing and follow-up may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We also use service providers (such as hosting, analytics, and communications vendors) to operate the site on our behalf.

We keep your personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, follow up on your request, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When it is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access or delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and Colorado residents have these rights under the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA). Once you opt out, we will stop selling or sharing your personal information for that purpose.

You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email. You can also ask us to stop contacting you by emailing hello@verygoodwater.com.
